Pada release terbaru ini sudah ditanamkan berbagai macam perbaikan bug, penambahan pada beberapa fungsi, optimalisasi konsumsi penggunaan resource sehingga membuat KIS 2012 menjadi lebih ringan, serta peningkatan dalam hal penangana virus yang ada sehingga tentunya bisa membuat Komputer Laptop anda menjadi lebih terlindungi dari serangan virus ganas.
Tidak hanya fungsi serta perbaikan dan peningkatan pendeteksinan virus yang ditingkatkan, pembaharuan baru pada Interface Kaspersky Internet Security 2012 juga diperbaharui menjadi lebih efisien, jelasnya lihat gambar dibawah.

• Protection against phishing has been improved: information about the availability of a particular resource is first checked in the local database of phishing websites stored on Kaspersky Lab servers. Next, a request is sent to the “cloud” (Kaspersky Security Network), If there is no information in the two sources, heuristic analysis is carried out.
• The application’s efficiency has been improved and its impact on the computer’s performance significantly reduced.
